BENEFITS & INCENTIVES

Did you know Riverside County encourages all employees to take advantage of the many benefits it offers? One of those benefits is participating in the Commuter Services Program. If County employees carpool, walk, bike, or take public transportation to work five (5) times in the same calendar month, they qualify for our program! County of Riverside Commuter Services offers incentives for eligible and registered participants. The incentives and services are provided at no cost to the employees, except for the County Vehicle (CV) Program, which is an employee subsidized program.

Employees must be carpooling with another County employee at or near the same location.

  • COUNTY VEHICLE (CV) PROGRAM: This program allows groups of at least four (4) employees that RideShare to utilize a County Vehicle for their commute to and from work. • BICYCLE/WALK TO WORK: Biking and walking to work are greatly encouraged. At some worksite’s, bicyclists and walkers can take advantage of bicycle racks, personal lockers, and showers! Plus, walking and/or riding a bike to and from work even for just one day a week saves gasoline, helps the environment and you exercise.

  • TRANSPORTATION EXPENSE PROGRAM: Public transportation (e.g. RTA, Metrolink, OmniTrans or Sunline) users may utilize the Transportation Expense Program to save time and money on their transit pass. Enrolled participants can have the cost of their transit pass deducted via payroll deduction on a pre-tax basis up to the allowed amount established by the IRS.

  • MONTHLY OPPORTUNITY DRAWINGS: All registered employees have a chance at winning a monthly drawing. Each month, eight (8) registered employees are selected to receive a gift catalog from HALO Recognition to select a prize. Prizes include such items as jewelry, camping gear, and home goods.

  • RIDEMATCH LIST: Employees may complete and submit a RideMatch Form and request a generated RideMatch list of interested RideShare participants that live and work in their surrounding area. The generated RideMatch list will also assist in locating an established County Vehicle (CV) group commuting to their work location! It is the employee’s responsibility to contact employees they are matched with if desire to participate in a RideShare arrangement. Participation is voluntary.
